Some WMC Maps | Royal, Crystal, Canyon


Hey, so I'm not really looking for detailed feedback persay, I've already submitted, but just more of general thoughts. Thanks.


Royal

Okay so this is a 4-team KotF with 2 active flags. It features some jump pads for easier navigating and an indoor castle-type theme.


Crystal

This has a CTW type layout, you can place and break blocks on the map, but with 2 flags in each corner, rather than wools. Aesthetics is a unique shades of blue combination.


Canyon

This map features a canyon theme, with some cliffsides around the islands. I was going for a good balance on this map, not too quick, not too stalematey. There's a pre-made def, the big cliff, which serves as a natural looking defense. However, for a long term defense, it's extra blocks to mine. But overall, it's a decently thin/short stretch, and clay doesn't take horribly long to mine. And going for double is harder when you have to pass right by spawn. However, it's a decently high build limit, decent spawn kit armor, and a decently open map, also with the additional cliff tops. So I'm trying to make something nice and balanced.



Those maps look pretty good. You brought some originality when it comes to layout and terrain, hopefully it'll pay off well and it won't affect the gameplay negatively. Other than that, very nice aesthetics.
