make /proximity available to players


it's bad how you have to guess at the end of the game whether you're winning or not. send it

The only proximity we use in tournaments at this point is wool proximity because it's stupid for kills to break a tie in an objective gamemode. If we show wool proximity then you'll know when a new safety is being placed and if someone is for example tunneling back and planting wool in hidden places, you'll know it's happening which is dumb.

dumbness of knowing when safeties are placed < dumbness of not knowing when you're winning. people will play according to the knowledge that the other team will see prox, so it's no big deal

I feel like uncertainty can promote offensive play though, if you know you’re winning you’ll just defend at the end but if you aren’t sure you have to take a gamble. It would be like knowing if they touched your monu (and how many pieces) or core.
