CTW cause I love block-interaction and the maps are more enjoyable than DTC for my playstyle

Action & Comedy

A lot of different things can inspire my maps. Sometimes I see something random online that's in a really cool aesthetic, and it gives me to make a map that looks like it -- then I find a cool layout and make the map. This is what happened with Cobalt for example, I got inspired by the blue-glowing-mushroom-cave thingys in Terraria, I thought it looked so cool that I wanted to make a map similar to it. On other maps though, like Jurassic, I come up with a layout that I think will be amazing for CTW, and then find a cool aesthetic either afterwards or along the way. In general though, my aesthetic themes are inspired from all over the place, usually just something I happen to run across online, but sometimes it's more "forced" by a block palette that I think of myself. And layouts/gameplay-design usually come from either 1) "what could make this gamemode better that hasn't been tried already?" or 2) "what if I took this good part of this old map, combined it with this good part of this other old map, add a touch of this thingy on my other map, and tried this new thing, all together?" I don't think there's any singular method you have to follow to make a good map, just whatever allows your creativity to work the best.

I just thought it sounded cool back in 2017 or 2018 or whatever, "Zair-uh-coal-aiz." But then I realized that a "xerocole" is an animal that has adapted to live in the desert -- which is pretty cool.

You're one of the people I respect most in the comp community as a person, and I know I've said this to you once before but you made a great first impression like 3-4 years ago in a Stratus UHC we got auto-duoed, and you were really inclusive to me even though I was a random public player at the time. (and further continuing into rubber ducks & that age) You've always been one of the real ones and really fun to be around.

as a friend group i've enjoyed being around it, even though it can be too immature for my taste at times, but y'all are quite fun to be around -- i think another part of why i like it is because it's more of the og stratus players who've been around for several years now
as a comp team i think you guys are a bit underrated when trying your best and seriously in big tourneys (i.e. the results of conquest x & obsidian series ctw) especially with the chemistry, but then like in ranked events and all-stars you guys always fail together which is funny to watch

i like the scene, but it varies so much per tourney and it's hard to keep for the top players/teams to keep their intensity and passion of the game for too many consecutive months. so like you get woolwalker which was awesome but then some average tourneys and then obsidian series conquest was also amazing and now a bit more down, so overall its aight but those rare few tourneys with nonstop scrimming and intense invitationals are REALLY fun. If comp includes ranked and everything then it's growing, but if it's just "good teams" then i'd say kinda standstill rn, though it's definitely really good that the SG people have came over in the past year

ur amazing phantom. You're really funny to be around, a super kind and caring person, and one of the people I've most loved being around so often for these past 3 years. And ofc, you're a great ctw defender.

Obsidian Series: Conquest was thrilling, especially the Finals was absolutely UNREAL to watch happen. And honorable mentions to ItG and WW, those had some really intense series near the end with lots of great players.

YES you will get 3rd in SB3 then reunite and win SB4 in 2022 or 2023
