Christmas Events

Happy holidays! Last Friday we saw the beginning of the Christmas event, which will last until the 31st. Events include but are not limited to a snow-themed lobby and map rotation, mystery present kill rewards, and scheduled Rift events. Check out mitchiii 's announcement thread to get all the details!

Development News

Last Monday, ALM  added a feature which will announce the next UHC event in the front page a few hours before the event.

The most notable changes made to the Operation Ares plugins were the following:

  • Complete kill tracking support

  • Added the base architecture for proximity

  • Added groups (FFA, Teams) API

  • Lobbies now use XML to configure attributes

  • Certain facets can be written to work in lobbies AND games (like portals or jump pads)

  • The tab list is only active in 'OCN-style' matches, and UHC uses its own version

  • Permissions will be more clear

  • Spawns are now 40% faster!

  • Added back map 'stage' functionality. Maps not marked for 'production' can’t be polled or set next without a special permission

In addition to the above maps, the following Christmas themed maps were also added:
